HI! My name is Macie and I am so excited for the opportunity to join the Georgia Prevention Project as their latest and greatest (and only) Program Intern. I have grown up and lived in small-town Georgia for all of my twenty-two years. So you can imagine that the Atlanta traffic comes as quite a culture shock for me.
I just recently graduated from Georgia College and State University where I majored in Public Health. Public Health and my membership in the Student Health Movement Organization made my passion for mental, physical, and emotional health grow like wildfire. Through this organization I was lucky enough to meet GPP and experience their impactful Rx trainings, through GPP’s College Prevention Partnership program.
My major requires a semester long internship. When I found out that GPP was looking for an intern I jumped on the opportunity as quick as I could. This organization stands for something so much bigger than you and I and it’s so beautiful to see the impact it has on communities in Georgia.
I am really looking forward to this experience and being able to work alongside some really great individuals and highly motivated teens. If you want to get involved in our work, feel free to reach out! You’ll be glad you did!Back to Blog
