Meet, Cassandra! GPP Intern

Hey y’all! My name is Cassandra P. and I am excited to start my position as an intern here at the Georgia Prevention Project. I was raised in Virginia and have been in Georgia for 2 years. I am currently a senior Public Health Education Major at Kennesaw State University. I am a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.,  a peer health educator, and I am a resident assistant at KSU.

I gained my passion for public health while at Virginia Commonwealth University where I took a class in global health prevention. Since at Kennesaw I have only grown my passion to help and educate others on health issues. I think the Georgia Prevention Project is completing great work especially as someone who has seen the effects of addiction in others around me. I think this opportunity will provide me with tools and experiences that will help me to continue on my path after graduation.

I am so excited to expand my knowledge here at GPP and be able to support the work GPP does.
