Hey everyone! My name is Jasmine Douglas, I am the new Community Outreach Specialist for the Georgia Prevention Project. I’m so excited for this opportunity as I am fresh out of my undergrad studies, and ready to start my work with the general public health community!
I fell in love with the city of Atlanta after a past CDC internship, and dedicated myself to finding employment post-graduation in the City of Atlanta. I recently graduated from the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) in Columbia, South Carolina, where I was also born and raised. During my time at the University of South Carolina, I studied public health, and worked with epidemiologists and bio-statisticians within the graduate school to gain as much experience as possible so I can have the necessary tools to go into the public health workforce.
I will be overseeing the Teen Advisory Council (TAC) program and can’t wait to meet all of GA’s passionate young leaders! I really look forward to working with everyone with the Georgia Prevention Project!Back to Blog
