Senior Spotlight: Georgia Tech Graduate, Nuzhat K.

Hi, my name is Nuzhat K. and I am a 2020 graduate from Georgia Tech!

As a campus ambassador for the Georgia Tech College Prevention Partnership (CPP), I have had really great opportunities to spread awareness of prescription drug misuse and encourage healthy habits on my campus.

In partnership with the Georgia Prevention Project, our team was able to host events like “Popsicles not Pills” and an on-campus “Drug Take-back Day” that reached a huge number of students at our school. Through these events, we were able to gauge how students perceived prescription drug misuse, educate them on this problem, as well as encourage healthy coping habits during stressful times of the year.

The best part about being a student liaison was being able to work together with other students and advisors who were also passionate about this topic!

If you want to make a change on your campus and educate other students about how they can prevent prescription drug misuse and bring awareness to other drug-related problems, I highly recommend becoming a part of CPP!
