The Season of Giving

Now that Halloween has passed, the season of giving is right around the corner! Giving Tuesday is a global movement that originally started in 2012 as a way to normalize and encourage the act of “doing good”. Today, this movement has brought together millions of people across the globe through acts of kindness, generosity, and community events. Giving Tuesday is celebrated on November 29th, and there are so many ways to get involved. Celebrating Giving Tuesday can look like buying your friend a cup of coffee, volunteering for a local organization, or passing along some kind words to a stranger.

  • Create a donation station: Raise donations for a cause or organization that you’re passionate about.

  • Post a message of hope: Spread some kindness by sharing a positive message via social media.

  • Create blessing bags: Create seasonal blessing bags and hand them out to your friends, family, or neighbors!

  • Pay it forward: Pay for someone’s meal when you’re out to eat.

  • Donate: As an organization, our mission is to address the impact of substance misuse among teens and young adults. The College Prevention Partnership (CPP) and Teen Action Council (TAC) Program allows us to provide education and resources to help promote resilience within our communities. This Giving Tuesday, we’re hoping to raise $1500 to go towards expanding our efforts, creating new opportunities, and providing valuable resources for our TAC and CPP communities. With your support, we can come together to reduce the impact of substance misuse. Donate today by visiting our donation page.

We want to thank everyone who continues to support our efforts, and we hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and Giving Tuesday!
